How To Make The Most Of The Hour Saved By Not Commuting

Anderson Hoare Book Club - our favourite non-fiction reads 📚

Since March many of us have been working from home, and while remote working comes with its own challenges one major benefit has been the time we’ve saved commuting. In fact, since coronavirus restrictions caused offices to close, it turns out that more than a quarter (27%) of UK adults have saved an average of an hour every day. And the figures show that the most popular new pursuit of UK employees is reading, with 26% using their extra time to make a dent in their “to read” piles. We’ve definitely been enjoying more books this year at Anderson Hoare and have loved swapping recommendations, below is a list of our favourite non-fiction books our team have read recently:

Me and White Supremacy by Layla Saad

The Art of Rest: How to Find Respite in the Modern Age By Claudia Hammond

Buy Yourself the F*cking Lilies: And Other Rituals to Fix Your Life, from Someone Who's Been There By Tara Schuster

Don't Overthink It By Anne Bogel

Why We Can't Sleep: Women's New Midlife Crisis By Ada Calhoun

How do we know we’re doing it right By Pandora Sykes

Untamed By Glennon Doyle

How to Fail: Everything I’ve Ever Learned From Things Going Wrong By Elizabeth Day

Girl, Stop Apologizing: A Shame-Free Plan for Embracing and Achieving Your Goals By Rachel Hollis

Embrace Your Weird: Face Your Fears and Unleash Creativity By Felicia Day
