How To Style Autumn
The season is changing and with it comes a wardrobe dilemma. While September is one of our favourite months, the changing colours, ‘new term’ feeling and turning off the aircon as just a few reasons to note, it’s also a tricky one when dressing for the office.
We gave you a rundown of our favourite looks for spring here, and now it’s September’s turn. It’s a bit too early for the chunky knits, skirts with tights and knee-high boots to make an appearance, but it’s also too chilly for our summer staples of floaty dresses, strappy sandals and light weight tops. As an EA you never know where your day will take you, you could be running around outside all day, or alternatively glued to your computer desperately sorting emergency flights or arranging a last minute booking. A good wardrobe is essential. So, what to wear now? Luckily, the high street has some great options and below we’ve chosen a few staples that everyone should have in their wardrobe.
A Lightweight Jacket
It will offer no protection come winter, but right now a lightweight coat or a blazer is just what you need. These are our favourites: Mango Fringe Wool Blazer, £99.99
Zara Long Buttoned Trench Coat, £95.99
& Other Stories Oversized Linen Blend Blazer In Pink, £89
Statement Trousers
When it’s too early for tights but too chilly for bear legs the statement trouser is your go to.
Whistles Spinkle Tie Waiste Trousers, £119
& Other Stories High Waisted Flared Trousers, £55
Asos Design Dogstooth Check Side Stripe Tapered Trousers, £32
Calf-Length Structured Skirts
With leaves flying all over the place you don’t want your floaty skirt billowing up around your waste as well. A structure skirt will stay down at the same time as keeping you warm.
Cos Cotton Asymmetirc-Hem Skirt, £59
Boden Cara Denim Paperbag Skirt - Mid Vintage, £65
Ankel Boots
With the ability to be worn with both a bare leg and a cropped trouser, ankle boots are a stylish safe bet this September.
Topshop Margot Leather Mid Boots, £59
