Social media plays such an important position in potentially being the catalyst which can make a business stand out from their competitors. For many business’s they might think they don’t need social media. They may run as a more traditional company but even just a couple of social media tips and tricks can be useful to get a name out there and attract customers. I run the social media side here at Anderson Hoare. In that time, I have built up good knowledge of the area and have come up with a three tips of how to use social media to promote your business.
Know what your goals and objectives are
One of the biggest mistakes companies can make is to hit the ground running with floods of posts without having a proper plan put together. If you are looking to grow your social media presence then one of the first and most crucial steps is to outline exactly what you want. This way you can then start to plan what platforms and methods are going to be suited to your specific goals. Once you have started actively using social media, this will also mean that you can look back on your objectives and compare to see how much progress you have made. Once you have started on your posts, you may also want to go back to change and add points to your original objective list.
Include link to your Social Media in your emails and websites
You can upload as many great and relevant material on your social media, but if you are not reaching out to your target audience then all that hard work could be a waste of time. A great method to reach out to stream of people you want to meet is to attach links to your Instagram, Twitter etc. wherever possible (without over doing it!). One of the best ways I have learnt to draw in your target audience is to add links in emails and on your website. In a business, who you email, will most likely be the type of person who fits into your target audience or at least influence people in your target audience.
Follow and connect with client social media
A great marketing tool to reach out to your clients is social media. Using platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to follow and message clients can be an effective way to get them to check your profile out and see if you have anything going on which could lead to future business. It is a perfect way to grow your network with the clients you want to attract being able to see all your posts. A great business developer!
