A key part of working at a Anderson Hoare is greeting new candidates. I wanted to delve more into the insights of what really makes a good candidate. Therefore I got together with the team to discuss and compare what makes a good candidate tick! From this I have gathered some recruitment agency tips! I am really intrigued to spot the subtle signs PA’s, Executive Assistants, Receptionists and Team Assistants bring as their first impression of coming to a recruitment agency. (We all know how important first impressions are!)
Recruitment Agency Tips:
These are a few tips I would like to share with you on how to impress;PA Recruitment Agency Tips
You are applying for a job to be a PA, EA or receptionist. This is an extremely personal job. You can be the sole support for someone’s life or business. The consultant needs to see that you are organised. You must have everything you need for the interview a pen, notepad , documents and anything they asked you to bring.
The key to enjoying your job is the relationship between you the PA and your Boss. The consultant wants to see the real you. Remember here at Anderson Hoare we meet all candidates in a truly personable way to understand you and your needs. Be yourself, be comfortable and stand out. You’ll give a better interview as your less nervous. This means the team at Anderson Hoare will be able to place you in the right job!
KNOW WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE
The team tell me that many candidates say they want to be a PA, EA or administrator, but they don’t have the right experience! There are always some companies or individuals who might be prepared to overlook this particularly if you might bring other useful experience to bring to the job but as a general rule the experience on your CV will have to be pretty close to that required on the job spec. Aim high but be realistic about your PA abilities and manage expectations. The team here at Anderson Hoare are all very experienced in the business of PA/EA Recruitment. They understand that behind every CV lies a real person and you can trust them to make an honest and true assessment based on your suitability for a particular role.
So good luck, I hope these tips from the team will be able to help you on your interview day, and your journey to becoming a top PA, EA or administrator.
