On this blog post I will discuss how a Recruitment Agency work. Here at Anderson Hoare we strive to source the best candidates. The Anderson Hoare team request a registration form and CV. This is so they know a bit about you! Here are the stages that you will go through.
A Guide Inside a Recruitment Agency
The consultant meeting.
Meeting with your consultant is the first step. Make sure you impress them. It is a secretarial recruitment agency, they meet new candidates every day. Stand out. If you are on time, well presented and enthusiastic, they will be able to notice this. This means they will be able to put you forward to the best roles. As they know that you are willing. You need to show your consultant that you can do any role. Dress in smart business wear. Ensure your body language is positive. Don’t fiddle to much and always keep eye contact. You want to show them you are confident. Click here to see my previous blog about body language.
Be realistic. Don’t lie on your CV and don’t lie about your skills. We work in recruitment. The Anderson Hoare team will be able to know if you are lying. This will then lead to a very awkward situation. Be truthful. Tell the consultants your weaknesses and strengths. We are an office support recruitment agency. We want to help you find a job that you love and will fit you best.
How to keep in the know
Even though your consultant is helping you find a job. It doesn’t always hurt to check for jobs yourself. Always check your agencies website to see their current roles. If you see a role you like, you could always email your consultant. It will show them that you are keen and ready for a new job. You can also visit our Twitter, Linkedln and Facebook pages to see new roles.
