Being a PA is a stressful job, your time usually consists of juggling diaries, handling to-do lists, running errands… and the list goes on, this can put a lot of pressure our body and mind which is why Anderson Hoare have come up with our top tips to stay healthy as a PA and help keep us level headed so we can perform our best!
Tip 1: Eat Breakfast!
As a PA, there are plenty of times when we are in a rush to get to work and usually don’t make time for ourselves to eat breakfast. Breakfast is extremely important for a busy PA as it gives us the energy we need to function more efficiently, without this we can tend to get stressed out more easily and loose our lack of motivation quicker. Even if you pick up something at Pert or Starbucks on the way to work and bring it into the office to eat, this could make a massive impact on your day and bring the best PA out of you!
Tip 2: Take a Break
We all know how busy a PA is and a lot think that they don’t have time to take a couple of breaks in a day. By taking just two breaks a day this can reduce stress and help re-charge our body, meaning that when we get back to work we are much more heads down and can deliver the job to a higher standard and stay healthy as a PA.
Tip 3: Drink Lots of Water
A PA should aim to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day to help keep us hydrated. With the busy work schedules PA’s have it is vital for us to keep healthy and hydrated, otherwise we can find ourselves becoming drowsy and irritable which is the last thing a PA on the job needs!
